A date to look forward to

Give a birthday, trip, wedding, graduation or personal deadline its own countdown. Enter the date and time as they are understood where the event takes place, choose a time zone, and give it a name. The preview lets you try three styles before opening the finished countdown. Leaving the name blank uses “My event”.

    One moment, wherever you are

The event time zone determines the target moment. Someone opening your link in another country sees the same remaining time, along with the event date and their own local equivalent. Time zone offsets are calculated for the chosen date, including daylight saving time. If a clock change skips a time, choose another; if it repeats a time, select the intended UTC offset.

Save it here, share it anywhere

Create a countdown without signing up. Use “Save on this device” to add it to My events in this browser. There you can open, edit or delete it. Clearing browser storage removes saved events; they do not sync between devices. A shared link contains a snapshot of the name, date, time zone and style, so the recipient needs no access to your device. Anyone with the full link can read the event.

What happens when the moment arrives?

The display stops at zero and announces that the moment is here. It never switches to the following year or starts showing negative numbers. Older saved events and shared links still open with their completed state. Reloading the page or returning after the device sleeps recalculates the remaining time from the fixed target moment, rather than continuing an interrupted counter. Your device clock must be correct.

A countdown for occasions, a timer for sessions

Use Countdown to Date for a moment on the calendar that you want to keep, style and share. Days on the display are complete 24-hour intervals, not calendar-day boundaries. For cooking, workouts, study sessions, sound alerts or several running timers, use the separate Timer tool. Fullscreen makes your event easy to read on a larger display without navigation or other page content.
